Cataract surgery is the only way to remove cataracts and restore your clear vision. During cataract surgery, an ophthalmologist removes your clouded natural lens and replaces it with an intraocular lens (IOL). An IOL is an artificial lens that permanently stays in your eye.

PHACO AND REFRACTIVE
Photorefractive surgery is generally used to treat cases of presbyopia, an age-related pathology defined by the decline in accommodation of the lens. Refractive surgery can correct refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism or presbyopia. Some of these surgeries reshape the cornea. Others implant a lens in your eye. Either way,
the goal is the same. These surgeries focus light correctly on the retina so you can see more clearly.

VITREO RETINAL SURGERY
The only treatment option is a surgery called vitrectomy and then using a medium to long acting gas to close the retinal hole. The success of the operation involves careful removal of membranes around the hole and maintaining face down posture for up to 2 weeks on a very strict basis to allow the gas to close the hole.

PAEDIATRIC SQUINT
The main treatment for a squint is Glasses – these can help if a squint is caused by a problem with your child's eyesight, such as long-sightedness. Eye exercises – exercises for the muscles that control eye movement may sometimes help the eyes work together better. There is no specific age limit for squint eye surgery but surgery before six years of age is important to get the most desired results. For the treatment, doctors may perform squint correction exercises to help properly align your eyes.

GLAUCOMA
Glaucoma treatment often starts with prescription eye drops. Some may decrease eye pressure by improving how fluid drains from your eye. Others decrease the amount of fluid your eye makes. Depending on how low your eye pressure needs to be, you may be prescribed more than one eye drop

CORNEA, LASIK & EYE BANK
During LASIK eye services, an eye surgeon creates a flap in the cornea, dome-shaped surface of the eye that accounts for a large part of the eye's bending or refracting power (A). Then the surgeon uses a laser to reshape the cornea, which corrects the refraction problems in the eye (B). Eye Bank: The Hospital is responsible for collecting or harvesting and processing donor corneas and making available to trained corneal graft surgeons. Eye bank is the part of the local health system; they may be attached to a hospital or housed in a separate building.

Ocular Trauma
Ocular trauma is one of the most under-recognized causes of vision loss in the developed world. Blunt or penetrating ocular trauma can lead to vision loss through cataract or glaucoma (Figures 1 and 2). Etiologies of ocular injury differ in urban areas compared to other settings, and differ from country to country, between different regions of the world, and between differing demographic or socioeconomic classes. Epidemiological studies can encounter difficulty due to remote trauma and difficulty obtaining an accurate history. In addition, trials to better understand management can be limited by poor follow-up. Strategies for prevention of ocular trauma require knowledge of the cause or mechanism of injury, which may enable more appropriate targeting of resources toward preventing such injuries. Both eye trauma victims and society bear a large, potentially preventable burden.
