Dr Anand G Gannur had his Basic medical training(MBBS)from BLDEA Medical college,Vijayapur.
He did his post graduation (MS opthalmology)from sri Siddartha Medical college Tumkur.
He completed his fellowship in posterior Segment (FIPS) and worked as consultant in M.M Joshi Eye Institute Hubli.
he completed his fellowship in vitreo Retina surgery (FVRS)from Rajiv Gandhi university of health science.

He has worked in Various national and International Hospitals like St,Johns Hospital Bangalore and University Hospital
North Staffordshire,Birmingham,United Kingdom.he holds Permanent Medical registration from General Medical council,United Kingdom.

He has vast teaching experience for MBBS,MS & DNB students.Presented papers and given talks in state & international conferences.He also has many
publications in National & International Journals.He has written articles regarding Eye Care in Newspapers.

He is Pioneer and First to start full fledged surgical Vitreo Retina department which was lacking in Vijayapur,kalaburgi,Bagalkot,Bidar,Raichur districts of North
karnataka, He is instrumented and hosted "Madhumeha Samvada" as interactive session between districts patients and Diabetic Specialist Doctors in these Areas.

He is Interested in Artificial Intelligence,Diabetic Retinopathy,ROP,Malular holos,Complex TRD,Combined Surgeries.

Presently he is Head of Vitreo Retina Department in Anugraha Eye Hospital Vijayapur,Kalburgi.
