Mr. Dattatreyya Hosamath currently oversees the Community Outreach and Academic Initiatives and over the past 18 years of dedicated services, he is playing a very important role in bringing the changes through effective coordination, collaboration and institutional development. He has been an instrumental in expanding the hospital’s reach and impact across society. He is graduated in Bachelor of Arts and also completed Diploma in Optometry from KIMS, Hubli. In addition, he also acquired Certificate course in Community Outreach and Social Eye Care Marketing at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. His core areas of expertise are; Advanced Refraction techniques, Patient counselling and crisis management, Liaisoning with government departments, Public relations and media advisory and interdepartmental coordination.   In addition his current responsibilities, he plays a very important role in close association with Chairman on several assignments such as Liasoning, media representation, Public interaction, trouble shooting, etc.

• Coordinated MOU for free eye camps across surrounding districts  

• Played a crucial role in establishing the Eye Donation Centre and Eye Banks 

• Instrumental in obtaining permissions for Anugraha Institute of Paramedical Sciences  

• Establishing Institute of Optometry at Kalaburagi campus  

• Facilitated the approval and implementation of the ABY scheme

• Elevated Jyoti Sanjiveeni Health Scheme and Yeshasvini Health Scheme 

• Timely renewal of critical institutional certifications and safety compliance  

• Bridging connectivity through community based initiatives
